Obstruction Point Road

Difficulty: Non-technical gravel road, some climbing

Location: 17 miles south of Port Angeles atop Hurricane Ridge. The Obstruction Point Road takes off from the beginning of the parking lot of the Hurricane Ridge Lodge, to the left.

Description: This is a gravel road that winds itself through alpine meadows, with spectacular views of the inner Olympic Mountains. This road goes to Obstruction Pt., which is a great hiking trailhead. This is an out and back ride (15 miles) with multiple options for parking your bike and hiking and picnicking, the combination of the meadows and the views is awesome. Though open to cars (Not R.V.'s), there is not very much traffic. Be aware though, that the road is dusty and most traffic is on weekends on Saturday and Sunday morning and early evenings.
